The Training Environment

Initial training will be complete after three days at our school. Your experience will be immersive and intense. You will not be pushed beyond your limit, but you’ll explore new personal limits in the training environment. You’ll be encouraged to return for more riding, too.

Our instructors are highly trained and experienced and will be in constant communication with you via headset, watching and coaching you. You’ll be paired with two other students. One bike mounted instructor will be with you whenever you are on the course giving you real-time feedback.

As you progress through the 1.35 mile course, you’ll feel just like you’re on a local twisty road, but there won’t be any gravel, cars, animals or riders coming in the opposite direction. The road will challenge you though, as it’s been engineered to make you react to changes while emblazoning into your memory what it looks and feels like to be approaching the limit.

A portion of the course will look like an intersection where we’ll practice braking and swerving at speed. Just like in the real world when cars pull out in front of you.

You will get to practice over and over in our safe training environment the correct sequence of braking and turning to ensure you are highly proficient and ready for life on the road.

The key is immersion. Operating at the limit of the rider and bike, repetitively, will build experience you can rely on when you leave Countersteer. So, when you see a situation developing on the road, you’ll already know, instinctively, what action to take, much like a pilot does when something goes wrong.
